#SaveThePlanet

As a former OFW in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, I have seen and understood how important plants are in our surroundings since the desert is not given that God’s gift to grow abundant vegetation on its ground. Vast landscape of the country is sand and desert.

When I retired eight years ago and settled in my home country, it became my idea to plant fruit bearing trees around my house where soil is available. At my small space, I managed to sow these trees. In five years’ time, I started yielding fruits from guava as well as sugar apple trees. Other trees need at least five to thirteen years before they are mature enough to set fruits.

I am fully satisfied with my tree-planting project around my house. Therefore, I encourage everyone to explore around your homes and utilize available soil to plant at least three trees per house. In this way, if everyone participates, imagine thousands and thousands of tree will grow globally. The possible effect is, mother earth would have a chance to recover herself from further deterioration. LET US ALL GO GREEN!
